| i own a td and im not sure what size the motor is. on the plate is says ENG L13, the engine no. is 886360Q and there is a number stamped on the block under the exhaust manifold thats 78D13. i'm scared that its a 1.3. could anyone please tell me what size it is. |

hey tim the engine numbers you talking about state the year of the engine was built
but does it also say G161Z or G161?

| Its' quite hard to see and if its dark you will definatly need a torch... get ya head right in there on the inlet side of the engine near the front about halfway down the block. It can be quite hard to make out but it should definatly be there. |

My old motor's number is 904427Q
it is a G161
anything with a Q in a gemmi is a G161

thats the wrong side you are looking at. open ya bonnet and look at the block. at the very front there will be a hose coming out the front of the block (its about1 and a half inches, black) then it turns and goes to the drivers side and then it follow the side of the block going back, towards the firewall. if you follw it as it just comes round the block and starts to go back there should be a bracket about 5 inches along, (the bracket holds the hose to the block i think) just behind the bracket is the numbers you are looking for
g161, g161z, or whatever
