Do you think putting a 1.6 head that has been rebuilt, shaved and ported on a 2 litre bottom end is very effective?
Will it have too much compression, I don't want to root my engine.

What does it cost to get a head rebuilt, shaved and ported?

I got a 1.6 head on my 2L and it works fine, it's been shaved about 20thou and runin around 11:5 but no hassles here so far and it's been on the car about 6 months. It's fairly effective I have a fair bit more pull down low and it's more responsive. Give it a go, can't hurt.
