It is earlier than that, TDs have the EGR, TX doesn't... As for the TC... well I'll wait for dave. |

I don't about the years but I know that I have a no pollution intake on my TE. What will happen if the cops see it? Will they notice?
Thanks for any help

The law was introduced in 1980. so te onwards have it. as long as it looks connected they wont question it. extractors dont cater for pollution gear so anyone with extractors (probabally vast majority of gems) have disconnected it anyway. |

Some extractors have an EGR fitting. They are usually undrilled though, so you can hook it up, but no gas will recirculate. |

WEll I have to say that i can only go off wat ive seen in STANDed Geminis.
I have a TD wagon and the motor dose not catour for EGA pipes or any polution gear
I had a TE gemini that had the EGA pipe but i clamped it down at the back of the motor so it looked to be in working order
I must asy that the early TEs might not have the EGA gear cause they came out in late 1979 and in 1980 the laws changed for polution gear needed in this cars.
so the only thing i can think of is TD down no EGA
TE up EGA and when u get to the late TF and in to the TG thats when the lovly great big pump comes in and the hole thing gose to shit
HAve fun cause the first thing is to fuck it off so hope this came in handy
SEE YA

The EGR fitting started midway through the TD series, at the same time the valve sizes were reduced. Also even the extractors with the EGR connection wont fit the pipe as the threads are slightly wrong. I tried it for hours. Also the manifolds without the pollution gear flow ALOT better. |
