| there was the same question a couple of pages ago just make sure your windows don't leak because with no rails the water will run straight of the roof and down your windows and i think they may be structural. |

Yeah, thats what he was talking about, but he didn't read your message cos he answered the wrong question. On some cars, they may add to the structural integrity of the car, however, it wouldn't be a hell of a lot. In any case, to answer your question, if you manage to buy some off someone (or even chop them out of a wreck), you're still going to have to weld them on. The easier option would most likely be to just fabricate your own, or if you're not confident doing that, you might just have to fork out to a panel beater to do the job for you.
