I got a spare diff the other day and just took the cover off it and looks like it is in fairly good condition... Anyway it says
HOLDEN . 7436738 . 390 RATIO B
and it also has something engraved on it and not stamped
28788 <-- numbers that are engraved
Can anyone tell me what this meens?

| Holden small Salisbury 3.90:1 ratio.. and probably part no's for crown & pinion gear |
