| I think it may be a bit late, but to the guy who unhooked his timing chain and was going to be charged 640 bucks to fit a new one: Buy some really strong magnets and some string. Lower the magenet down onto the crank, rotate the engine 180 degrees by hand, and grab the string with a hook of some sort. You can then tie it to the new chain and wind it back on. (remove the cam if you need to turn the engine backwards) Its alot of fisting around and may take an hour or so to hook everything back on but is far from impossible. |
