Central Locking --(James)

Hey I was wondering if any1 has put central locking into there gem and would like to write me a guide (perhaps a workshop item) as I want to install it but im not sure where to mount the motors etc..
any help Much appriciated

i put it in my old wagon it's pretty easy i just drilled some holes into the door frame and used self tappers then just bend the remote rods to grab onto the lock pretty easy

yeah i have it in my sedan, with an alarm all on a remote

Its a bit of a bitch to fit with the locks going sideways instead of up. But with patience it can be done. I put it in my gem (sedan).

umm...don't you just mount the solenoids horizontally instead of vertically???

Its just that its a very tight fit to get it in the right place. If its out a bit it wont work properly and will sometimes not unlock/lock a door etc
