I have a TX Coupe and have just had a the brake booster shit it's self. I found a spare one and had it recondition thinking I would just swap Booster's. When I went to do it I found that someone had cut the bracket off the booster and welded the mounting plate back on making it sit flush up against the fire wall (This was done to fit twin carbs on a dodgy manifold). I have a new manifold now and am happy to run the booster with the bracket. I assume it is a TE Booster because chances are the car was pre-booster. How ever with the bracket on it makes it sit further off the fire wall and that means it does not come into the car as far meaning when I hooked the pedal up I had to puch it down to get the pin to go through. Now the pedal bottoms out before the brakes come fully on. Any suggestions? Like are there diffrent pedals for diffrent setups or longer or shorter C clamps? |
