The headlights on my TC are pretty crappy, and I was wondering if there are any quartz halogen jobbies that will fit?

Yep, no worries at all, first of all you need to check if your headlights are sealed beam or H4 insert semi-sealed beam units. If they are sealed beams, take them out, wipe them clean, put them in a box and forget them, they are useless, then go and buy some 7 inch round semi-sealed beam units. You have two choices when buying 7 inch round semi-sealed beam units, 1. New $60-$70 each. 2. Dave's gemini spares ~$15 each.

Then go to autobarn and buy a set of 130/100watt H4 bulbs, two inline fuse holders, a 30 amp fuse and a 25 amp fuse, some 30amp wire, 3 containers of male and female spade connectors, some H4 style connectors, 2 twelve volt automotive relays, a container of metal polish (autosol), a wirebrush and some matt black paint.

Remove the backing plates from the headlights, polish the chrome trim rings, disassemble then wirebrush the backing plates back to a smooth shiny metal surface, wipe them clean and paint them matt black and hang them up to dry.

Mount the two relays between the battery and the shock tower on the passenger side, locate your current high and low beam wires running to the passenger side headlight, cut these and wire them with female spade connectors, also wire up two short earth wires (screw one end onto the car and attach a female spade to the other), then run a wire from the battery, via the inline fuse to another female spade connector, you then need to run a wire from each relay to each headlight's new H4 style... bah, you get the idea, wire up the headlights using the relays... If you need a proper explaination, feel free to ask
