I've had my Tg for six mounths before i got my P's and i was driving around and i was playing the name that gemmi game where i call out what make the gem was and i was woundering if people out there heve a special colour for the different makes of gemini or is there a universal great colour for gemini's? Not that i don't love the lovely browness of fawn. |

choose your own colour, personally i think hot metallic pink looks kinda cool but i dont think that you would like that, i also think that to top it off you should have a big pink panther in shotgun and never remove it. i dont know what you think but as soon as i have the cash that is where my gemmi is headed. and if you like the browness of fawn why dont you leave it and get some retro stripes painted over the top or down the sides |

what i mean is dose a green gem look better than a red gemmi for example, and no i think of all the colours that gmh brought out in the 80's are great. but what about these new colours like tiger(that goldie/yellow on new commadores)or metalic paint like harliquin? or do i keep fawn? |

My gemini is metallic blue (atlantis blue metallic, factory colour, new paintjob), with the benefit of hindsight I plan on painting EVERY single gemini I own in the future plain white, nothing but white, all 100% white.
The diff will be white, the engine bay will be white, the engine will be white, the shell inside, outside, on top, underneath will be white, the calipers will be white, the drums will be white, the suspension arms will be white, the steering rack will be white, the trailing arms will be white, the blower box will be white, the gearbox will be white, the boot will be white, the grille will be white, the headlight surrounds will be white, the relay box will be white, the shock absorbers, springs and swaybars will be white, the tailshaft will be white, the brake booster will be white. The dash will be black, the carpet black, the seats will be black (aerotech if I have the dosh). The doors, roof lining, pillars and gearlever boot will be trimmed in black velour. |

I was wondering how long it would take before someone asked....
1. White is cheap
2. White is neat
3. White hides dents better than anything else
4. White is consistent
5. If you paint a dimpled rough gemini white it looks clean straight and new
6. Metallic is a bitch to spray
7. The darker and glossier a colour is the more it shows even the slightest ripple
8. With the money I save buying white paint I can buy a spare shell and paint it white too.
9. If you get a smooth white finish on every component your car is stupidly easy to clean, just sponge down the diff once a month etc
10. I can spray white paint blindfolded hanging up by my ears, it is too easy, metallic on the other hand.... |
