Ok, heres the deal. You rescue a TD Coupe from going to the wreckers and decide to go the rebuild. You find alot of rust but most of it is fixable, need alot of bodywork done and a new paintjob wouldnt go astray.Thats exactly what I did, and I think ive done an ok job on the car so far, but I have one problem I cant seem to get around- The panel right in front of the winscreen (the one with all the slots) is filled with leaves and other junk, and the only way to remove it is by getting out the chainsaw.Well the point is im not even gunna attept that so does anyone have any answer to my problem??
thanks

The only way to get at the leaves is through the fan blower assembly, take off the metal cover of the fan (four screws) and take out the fan motor (um, another 4 or so screws) then grab a piece of wire or whatever you can find and try and scrape all the leaves out, also useful if a high pressure water sprayer, or failing that a garden hose.
Just be careful not to get too many leaves into the dashboard ventilation piping. |
