Both!

Left foot on the brake and right on the go pedal and if your cars got enough in it, the rear right or left (or both) should break traction and smoke up while the front wheels remain firmly locked. If you're going to get a manual in the near future, practice holding the brake with the toes on your right foot and gunning the accelerator with the heel of your right foot - that leaves your left foot free to dump the clutch (when you get one).

Of course, this does your rear slave cylinders no good at all, nor does it help the rear shoe wear. Actually, it can damage your diff, uni joints, torque tube and gearbox too, but nobody said that smoking was good for you.

Smoke it up!

if it still cant do it
get a pair of vice grips and clamp the hose that goes to the diff
make sure handbrake isnt on
and then u only have front brakes
with my now smokey old stocker
i can get second gear but it is a manual

let the smoke roll in

If all else fails, just put a spot of oil on the road. You can bag up anything on oil.

Alternatively, if you feel a bit handy, you can do what my old boss did in his youth:

He had an AP5 Valiant Safari wagon and he plumbed through a hose with an oil reservoir attached to it. Down the right hand side of his bench seat he had a handle and he would just pump it once or twice and it would squirt oil directly onto the right rear wheel.

Instant burnouts, minimal diff and gearbox torture and he never told his mates! He was the burnout king!

Ok, I am not the burnout kind, I love my yokos too much to even consider it, despite the fact I consider it heathenic to do burnouts I will simplify the system you just suggested.

For the ultimate burnouts on a stocko gemini you need two windscreen washer bottles, about $5 from a wrecker, or drive to my house and i'll give you my spare one for free. Go to bunnings and by some clear plastic piping of the right diameter (4mm IIRC), and two T joins. Bolt the washer bottles into the boot somewhere and run a pipe from each one to each wheel, obviously using a T-join, then wire up the bottles to a switch/button attached somewhere under the dash, use a relay and a fuse to do it properly, then fill one bottle with diesel, one bottle with water and go
nuts. Don't forget to switch it off when you are done.

Of course this is just a hypothetical (cough cough) and I do not endorse burnouts or attaching this to a road vehicle, I accept no liability due to damages incurred by any such activities.

dont bother burnouts are gay getting sideways is heaps more fun and skillful. Any bogan can do a burnout but getting really sideways and bringing it back is a true skill indeed
