I have a mildly worked G200 (extractors, exhaust, bit of bore done i think??) and I was thinking of getting webbers. With the petrol crisis these days I don't want something that will kill me on petrol though, so what's the best set? and how much?? and is it better to get new or used???
Thanks for the replys!!

Well if you mean webers in the plural sense then it really comes down to IDF vs. DCOE, IMHO the IDFs win on a technicality. DCOEs require the use of a nasty 'S' shaped manifold (most commonly available brand is lynx) which compromises the integrity of the system. A set of 44mm IDFs should make better power and will fit when on a 'normal' manifold. If you have them set up on a dyno then any increase in fuel consumption will correlate directly to an increase in power, that is to say that the air:fuel ratio should be the same but you are flowing more air and hence more fuel.

I deliberately mention that because there is a misconception that aftermarket carburretors 'waste' fuel.

So if fuel economy is a problem don't use the extra power, drive conservatively, or better yet, inject your gemmy.
