well this is very long and expensive job. your looking at replacing the whole running gear of the car as in diff and a driveshaft. Plus early roatary engines have problems with there seals so make sure if you do get a rotary engine warm it up for around 7 - 20 mins each morning b4 gunning off in it.

You wont need to put in a new rear end. People do 11sec 1/4's with stock rear ends with turbo 4's.
And as an RX-7 owner I can tell you that warming for 7 to 20 minutes is bullshit.
They need about 30 seconds before u drive off, then take it easy before its at full temperature. You just need to make sure the housing's warm up evenly, otherwise they can warp. This was told to me my a factory mazda trained racecar mechanic

warming it up for 7 to 20 mins my arse!!,i have an rx7 with 13b turbs, but before that i had a non turbs, 2 mins MAX is all it needs, even 30 seconds without bringing the revs up more than 3 grand, after 4 years ive neva blown an apex seal or nuthin..
if u wanna stick a rotor in your gem, go for the 12a, they are heeeps more easy to put in, i did it, took 1 day and a night with a mate, madew a cool badock basher, and entered in a hill climb and burnout comp! 9500 RPM in a gemmy is a goood feeling : )
