Greetings Gemmaniacs,
I hope somebody out there can help me:
I'm looking for somebody with a copy of Wheels Magazine, October 1981. It has a full road test of a Gemini CDT, which would be most helpful in finishing off my History of the Gemini document, which keeps growing every time I turn on the PC - it's at 13,000 words now - every word a helpful gem in the world of the Gemini.
However, the CDT version is something that I'm lacking information on - there's nothing on the Net - Christ, I can find out about the Argentinian Opel K-180, but I can't find out about our little Aussie CDT!!!
If anybody has a copy of this and could scan the pages of the story in mega-high quality and email it to me, that would be bloody fantastic. If you can help, either message me here or send me an email to the address linked to my name.
If not, I guess it's back to scouring Ebay and the 2nd hand shops.
Cheers (and 3 of them if you can help me),
Dave |

You didn't outbid me for the March and April 1975 issues of Wheels magazine that featured a special preview of the Gemini, and a full road test of the Gemini respectively!!!
I got them, and I'm bloody glad too, coz they've been invaluable for my project.
I've also got some other good stuff from there - brochures for both the TC and TD and an advertisement of the Isuzu Bellett! Killer!
Cheers,
Dave
PS - anyone else got this issue I'm after?!??!?! |

Have you contacted Wheels themselves to see what they can do for you?
Just a long shot but you never know. Have you written into the mag to see if readers can help you out?
Cheers and good luck |

Yeah, you can buy old articles for $6.00 each, which is a bit steep - I'd prefer to pay $10 for the whole magazine myself.
I mean, the second hand guy down at the Central Markets sells them for $2 each, but that's very hit and miss - I could wait years to get that issue, or it could come in tomorrow.
If I don't track one down in the next fortnight, I'll buy the article. However, I'm not sure I can - Wheels' website has been out of comission for 6 months - I wonder if anyone's told them?
Cheers anyway,
Dave |
