who here has painted their own gem?
exactly what types of paint, what tools, what preparations and any other stuff did u use?
Also what method did you use?
any help would be greatly appreaciated

I painted my gem. I used acylic base and clear coats, but the clear was cheap and it fucks up sometimes, requiring a heavy cut. Go 2-pak. |

not somthing you would attemt to do on your own with no experiance.
need lots of tools dollies to get dinggs out
files
sanding blocks
hammers
air compresser
spray gut
paint, stone guard, putty
takes a fair while to prep the car. also i fo me and my bro and his friends 6 of us total to do 2 cars in about 2 months weekends only doing a full strip of the car amnd paiting panel by pannel, 2 of the people there were pannel beeters soo it is not a light task |

Yep, takes ages to do it right. I shortcutted a few areas with regards to rust, and am paying for it now. Still took about 4-5 months at nights and on weekends. |
