I recently changed my coolant because there was a thin layer of black shit floating on top as I looked in.It was ok and now its back.I think it may be that my radiator is just rusted but what do you guys think |

Black shit, are you talking crusty lumps of rust that you can pick up or are you talking a thin layer of cruddy semi-emulsified oil?? I suspect you mean the latter and I have the unfortunate task of informing you that you probably have a leaking headgasket which is allowing oil into the coolant passages. Not nice. |

I dont like the sound of that.If it is a leaking headgasket, how much are we looking at for repair? |

Well it isn't that hard to just replace the headgasket, using a gregory's manual in your case...
Just need to pick up a gemini headgasket, inlet gasket and exhaust gasket, pull the head off, clean the old gasket off, put the new gasket on, put the head back on.
$100 for the parts and beer. |
