Ok, im gonna buy a gem real soon but the problem is i don't know if i should get a TD coupe or a TG. I think the TD looks heaps better, I just wanted to know whether the TG was techically superior (mainly the engine) to the TD or whether the only real big difference was the body shape??

| The choice of bodys is yours to make but when it comes to the engines the older the gemini the more horse power they had. I think the TX TC and TDs had about 56Kw and the TE TF and TGs had about 50Kw. As well as less power the TF and TGs have all the added pollution gear which doesnt do much for performance. (actually it makes them worse). So save yourself the trouble of ripping the shit off and plugging up the holes because all of the engines are the same technologically. As well as this the older engines are a better starting place for doing up a car as their heads were better flowed and had higher compression. So I would stick to a TD unless of course all of the pollution gear has already been stripped, then the choice is all yours... |
