Can anyone tell me if the TC was available with a 1.8 as an optional motor? Cause according to the RTA, so long as your replacement motor has less than 15% capacity increase, it counts as a minor modification and you dont have to get it engineered.
I'm thinking 2l piazza motor is less than 15% bigger than a 1.8. Could be stretching things a bit I suppose... |

No model Gemini was offered with an 1800cc engine. Technically, the Gemini Diesel was 1800cc, but I assume they have different rules for that.
G180 and G200 engines were never offered in Geminis in Australia. Most examples have been imported or pilfered from early 80's Rodeos.
If you put in a G180 then bore it out and work it up a bit, how are they going to know it's not 1800cc's anymore? |
