Ok, I have 2 options, I can get a standard gear box which is in good nick from a wreckers, or a diesel box with clutch (probably standard) which I have no idea about but was told it's been "granny" driven...
Which should I get?
standard is about $160 (from memory)
and the diesel + clutch is $200
eh? any ideas?

| i'd probably get the diesel box as it would have had an easier life than the other one you would think |

A diesel will not fit a gemini motor because the starter is on the wrong side .
try and get a 5speed out of a te as tay have a taller 1st gear . |

What about on a G180? will it fit that? or is starter on the same side??? (haven't had the time or inclination to check these things out... and besides I'm dribbling shit to justify the fact I don't know  lol)

What in gods name are you on 4bidin. The diesel box has the starter on the same side. The diesel box is slightly stonger with the closer ratio set up.
The twin cam from what I understand has the starter on the opposite side.
Todd, go the diesel box with the clutch. No lag between 2nd and 3rd, and would have had an easier life. |
