Driving car to the mechs for a carby overhaul and tune. And on the way, my tranny decides to lock up.
I can only put the stick into 5th and reverse. 1 through 4 dont even budge or engage. Any1 heard of this SHIT!!
I am very pissed with my gemini. 2 towings in 3 days, thats quite shit!!! Im glad im an NRMA member. They must hate us gemini guys.
Its a rodeo 5 speed. Any ideas on what it is?
Its at the mechs now. Ive got my fingers crossed for a smaller than expected bill!! I doubt it.
Im thinkin of getting out of the game. buying a bike |

yeah i've had the same problem twice in the time i've had my gem, the synchro on 5th gear jumped the spline, and locked everything up. i couldn't get into any gear at all - just neutral, which was in fact 5th gear!!! bizarre, i let the clutch out with some revs, and took off home, with the wonderful smell of clutch following me all the way home. i ran as many red lights as i could safely, and to make things worse, i had a trailer on the back with my dirt bike, that had also just cracked a shit... wasn't happy jan.
getting another box is easiest, but watch out for what u get, cos at the moment i've got a noisy one purchased from the wreckers, for $150. noisiness not covered in the 3 month warranty. all the best.
