| I have just brought a 83 gem. The motor has a fair bit of work done to it. Can anyone tell me from the ENGINE NO. 132679Q whether this is a 1600, 1800 or 2litre. |

| look for the stamp on the left hand side i think of the block it will tell you |

G180's and G200's have no letters on the end.. because they are imported
the Q means that it is a non imported motor and therefore is a G161

| 1600 had G161 cast into the block under the inlet manifold. 1800 (G180) & 2lt (G200) had their's cast on the block on the exhaust side. |
