about a month ago, my fuel guage stopped working, it just sits on empty, the guage is fine, somehow we had it flickering around, but i changed it over with another working one anyway... i thought it could be the sender in the tank, so i got one off of one of my mates... put that in still no luck, i tested the circuit for the wire going from the sender to the guage, all fine, doesn't seem to be dead anywhere...
anyone know of any other things it could be???
help would be greatly appreciated...
Cheers,

check the circuit board on the back of the cluster for any burn marks |

How close to the actual guage did you test the circuit? cause if there is power going from the sender unit up to the dash then it would seem that either the guage or the electronics on it are buggered... i know thats probly obvious but sometimes little things can trip ya up... goodluck |

This happens when the current doesn't make contact with the circuit board. there are little metal pointy bits that make contact..what you have to do is put washers in them so that they do. |
