OK .. I pulled the rocker cover off and found enuff 'mayonnaise' to turn me off and make me think something more is happening here than I expected.
So I am thinking .. 'Fuck what do I do ?' Should I take this opportunity while the car is off the road to have a new/reco engine installed. Everything else on the car at this stage is OK, apart from some rust, the possible bent chassis , and the fact that my speakers are like .. stuffed !
I figure a new head would cost me a few hundred to have replaced anyway, should I spend a few more $$ and get another engine ? The build up of old oil on hoses and other bits and pieces was about 0.5 cm thick which tells me there is someting more than a minor oil leak.
Is this the sign that God has sent me to change engines ? :Þ Help me here boyz .. pleeeeeeeeeease !! I do intend at this stage to keep the car as next year it will be likely to be rebuilt as the race/rally car.
And would you believe the bastard runs outta rego TODAY ! grrrrrrrr

The mayo would just be from the blown head gasket.. Probably need the head reco'ed too.. Its cheap if you can dissasemble and reassemble it yourself |

I know it has a blown head gasket .. that is what the mayo was referring to. I am debating tho whether or not I will take this opportunity to actually put a new engine in or not. If I do then there is no point in me replacing the head gasket. |

The gaskets probably cheaper to fix but a new engine like a 4ZD1 would go hard. They seem to be pretty cheap engines too.
