Is is possible to bore out a 1600 to a 2ltr without risk of the bore wall becoming too thin?? |

Im pretty shore you can only bore it to about 1.7 or 1.8 you have to strock it to get the other cc out off the engine.
IE: grind the crank sharft so the piston is draged more down the bore but not out off the block.
mick from micks motorsport in sydney ph 0404850942 has done a lot of 1600 stroked to 2000 with get sucses. |

I gaurantee you cant get 2 litre pistons in a 1600 block cos you hit waterjackets down numbers 2 and 3. You can fit 60thou 1800 pistons, which are 85.5mm and take it out to about 1775 or so ( i think). |

you can fit 2lt pistons but without a two litre crank it will only be a 1.8
