He writes: "These show a Kadett C race-car, the engine is a 2.4 l 16V race-engine with ca. 300 HP, my Kadett C had a very similar engine with slightly more HP (315) :). The engine was build from the tuning-firm Irmscher for rally-racing .Walter Roehrl got the world-championchip in the early '80s with this engine in an Opel Ascona 400. Later in the '80s Irmscher build some special editions from the models Manta and Ascona with this engine, but with only 144 HP.These cars were regularly sold from Opel. Sadly the Kadett C got never this engine from stock." |
